Who we are

Rehan Jewellery is a family-owned gold jewellery shop in the Gold Souk, Kuwait City, trading since 2009. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use rehanjewellery.com and the Rehan Jewellery Android app (together, "our services").

The short version

• You do not need an account, and nothing is sold or paid for online. Every purchase happens at our counter.
• Our website and app do not ask for your name, phone number or address, and do not store them.
• When you choose to contact us, the message goes through WhatsApp, phone or email, and we use it only to answer you.
• We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics tools, and we never sell or share your information for marketing.

Information we receive

Messages you send us

Buttons such as Ask price on WhatsApp and the enquiry form open WhatsApp with a message already written, for example the piece's name, karat and weight, plus any name, phone number or note you type. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp. The form itself is not stored on our website or in the app. Once sent, we receive the message on our business WhatsApp like any other chat, together with your WhatsApp number and profile name.

Calls and emails

If you call or email us, we receive your number or email address and what you tell us.

Technical information

Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data when a page or photo is requested: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These server logs are used only to keep the website running and secure, and are deleted by the host on a rolling basis.

How we use it

We use what you send us only to:

• answer your question, send photos, weights and today's price;
• hold pieces for your visit or arrange a custom order, resizing, repair or buy-back;
• keep normal sales and warranty records required to run the shop.

We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time.

The Android app

• No account, no login, no payments.
• Internet access is used only to load the current collection and photos from rehanjewellery.com.
• Saved pieces (the heart button) and a copy of the collection for offline use are stored only on your phone. They are never sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes them.
• The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, photos, microphone or files.
• The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software.
• Share uses your phone's own share menu; we do not see what you share or with whom.

Cookies and storage

The public website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may keep copies of pages and photos so the site loads faster; you can clear them in your browser settings. A single security cookie is used only on the staff login page of our product system, which is not used by customers.

Other services we link to

Some features rely on other companies, which handle data under their own privacy policies:

• WhatsApp (Meta): messages you send us.
• Google Fonts: the website's typefaces are loaded from Google, which receives your IP address.
• Google Maps: the map on our Contact page and the Directions button.
• Instagram (Meta): only when you tap a link to our profile.
• Google Play: when you download the Android app.

How long we keep information

WhatsApp conversations and emails are kept for as long as needed to serve you, for example until an order, repair or buy-back is complete, and for warranty and record-keeping after that. You can ask us to delete a conversation at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Message us on WhatsApp at +965 9947 8553 or email info@rehanjewellery.com. We reply within a few working days.

Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly receive information from children under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us, tell us and we will delete the conversation.

Security

Our website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to our product system is protected by a password and limited to our staff.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date below.
